Thesis, Dissertation & Research Project Support

Ethical, methodology-first support for BS, MSc, MPhil and PhD researchers. You remain the author; we help you plan, analyse, present and defend your own work.

With support from Technology Lead where the work involves data processing, automation or tracking.

Who this is for

  • BS and MSc students starting a research project
  • MPhil and PhD researchers at proposal, analysis or write-up stage
  • International students adapting to a new supervisor or system

Problems we help with

  • The proposal is due and the research question is still too broad.
  • Data have been collected but you are unsure which analysis is appropriate.
  • The thesis structure is unclear, or chapters do not connect.
  • The viva is approaching and you want practice defending your choices.

What is included

Every item is labelled with what you are actually receiving.

Consultation
A meeting with written notes. Advice only.
Coaching
We teach and guide; you do the work.
Written review
Written feedback on your own material.
Analysis
We process your legitimate data and return results with the method.
Editing
Language and presentation only, with tracked changes.
  • Research planning consultations (BS, MSc, MPhil, PhD)

    Consultation

Plan aims, timeline and milestones that fit your programme.

  • Research question and hypothesis refinement

    Coaching

Guided sessions in which you sharpen your own question.

  • Proposal and methodology feedback

    Coaching

  • Statistical analysis consultation

    Consultation

Choose and understand the right tests for your design; you run or we demonstrate the analysis and you report it.

  • Bioinformatics and computational analysis support

    Analysis

See Computational Biology; you receive the code and must be able to explain the method.

  • Figure and table preparation from legitimate data

    Analysis

Consistent, accurate figures made from your own data, with the script used.

  • Results interpretation and visualisation

    Consultation

Discuss what your results mean and how to present them honestly.

  • Academic language editing

  • Thesis structure and formatting guidance

    Coaching

Chapter structure and university formatting requirements.

  • Referencing and research-integrity checks

    Written review

  • Viva and research presentation preparation

    Coaching

Mock vivas and presentation practice with critical questions.

  • Research progress reviews

    Consultation

    Regular check-ins against agreed milestones.

  • Reproducibility and documentation support

    Coaching

Lab-notebook practice, data organisation and analysis records.

How it works

  1. 1You tell us your programme, stage, deadline and what your institution permits.
  2. 2We propose a scope that states clearly whether each item is coaching, editing, consultation or analysis.
  3. 3Sessions and reviews follow agreed milestones.
  4. 4You finish with work you wrote, understand and can defend.

You receive

  • Session notes and action points
  • Tracked-change edits or written comments on your drafts
  • Analysis outputs with code, where analysis is in scope

What we need from you

  • Programme and stage, supervisor expectations and university rules on external help
  • Your drafts, data descriptions or proposal
  • Deadline

Limits and exclusions

  • You remain the author of all assessed work and must be able to explain and defend it.
  • If your institution restricts external help (for example editing of assessed work), we follow the stricter rule.
  • We cannot guarantee grades, completion or examiner decisions.

We do not offer

  • Ghost-writing or writing assessed work on your behalf
  • Fabricating, altering or "cleaning" data to change conclusions
  • Inventing or padding citations
  • Paraphrasing to evade plagiarism detection
  • Purchased authorship or guaranteed publication
  • Guarantees of degree completion or grades

Questions

Is this allowed by my university?

Most universities allow coaching, methodological advice and limited language editing, and many require you to acknowledge help received. Rules differ, so check your handbook or ask your supervisor; we ask about this at the start and follow the stricter rule.

Will you write my thesis or a chapter?

No. We do not write assessed work. We help you plan, analyse and present your own work, and we edit language transparently with tracked changes.

Do I have to tell my supervisor?

We encourage it, and some institutions require it. We are happy to provide a short statement describing the support you received for your acknowledgements.
