Service
Scientific Data Analytics, AI & Automation
Who this is for
- Research groups tracking students, samples, experiments or grants
- Laboratories and departments that report to funders or management
- Small organisations with manual, spreadsheet-heavy processes
Problems we help with
- Progress is tracked in scattered spreadsheets and nobody trusts the totals.
- Monthly reports take days of copying and pasting.
- Data arrive in inconsistent formats and need checking before every analysis.
What is included
Every item is labelled with what you are actually receiving.
- Build
- We build a tool, tracker or system that you own.
- Analysis
- We process your legitimate data and return results with the method.
Excel and Google Sheets reporting systems
BuildMulti-sheet systems with raw data, analysis and summary layers, validation rules and change logs.
KPI dashboards
BuildDashboards that show the few measures that matter, with definitions agreed in writing.
Research progress trackers
BuildStudent, milestone, sample and publication trackers for supervisors and groups.
Data cleaning and validation
AnalysisDocumented rules for checking incoming data; every change is logged, nothing is silently altered.
Python and R workflow automation
BuildScripts and small desktop tools that run multi-step processing with preflight checks.
Reproducible analysis pipelines
BuildPinned environments, scripted steps and logs so results can be regenerated.
Scientific data visualisation
AnalysisClear, accessible charts and figure templates.
Literature and document-processing workflows
BuildOrganise, rename, extract and summarise document collections, locally where confidentiality requires.
Automated report generation
BuildScheduled reports assembled from your sheets or databases.
Operational analytics for research teams
AnalysisTurnaround, workload and bottleneck analysis.
Client portals and project-status dashboards
BuildSimple status pages for your own clients or collaborators, scoped with access control from the start.
AI-assisted content and reporting workflows
BuildDrafting and summarising steps with a human approval step built in; local models where data are confidential.
Research group productivity tools
BuildTemplates, checklists and small tools that remove repetitive work.
How it works
- 1Discovery call: what is tracked today, by whom, and what decisions it supports.
- 2Written specification with measures, data sources and a fixed price.
- 3Build in small working stages you can test.
- 4Handover with a plain-language guide and training; you keep the files and code.
You receive
- Working tracker, dashboard, script or report
- Plain-language owner guide
- Source files and code, owned by you
- Handover training session
What we need from you
- Examples of current spreadsheets or reports (anonymised where possible)
- Who uses the output and what decisions it supports
- Access arrangements — we never need your passwords
Limits and exclusions
- Automations depend on the stability of the tools and APIs they connect to; maintenance can be agreed separately.
- AI-assisted steps always include human review; we do not deploy unattended AI that sends messages or publishes content.
- Confidential or personal data are processed locally or within your own accounts, not uploaded to public AI services without your written consent.
We do not offer
- Scientific interpretation (referred to our scientific lead or a named specialist)
- Handling your passwords or credentials
- Scraping or automation that breaches a platform’s terms
Questions
What evidence do you have for this work?
Our technology lead has a long background in operational reporting, KPI dashboards and quality systems, and recently built the Shopskon platform: a static site with automated feeds, a weekly multi-source report, and official-API publishing. See the case studies page; the figures there are from that project’s own logs and are not scientific results.
Do you use AI on my data?
Only with your agreement, and by default with locally run models so that files do not leave your control. Every AI step has a human check before anything is sent or published.
